Uniform Patrol Division
The Patrol Division is the most vital part of the Sheriff's Office. The patrol division is comprised of deputies that respond to 911 service calls, patrol the 377 square miles of Rabun county to deter crime, enforce Georgia Criminal and Traffic laws, investigate traffic crashes, and check businesses. These tasks are a small portion of the exhaustive list of duties that a deputy may perform in the course of a shift.
Captain Shane Watts
Capt. Watts is charged with supervising and leading the patrol division. Capt. Watts assists the Chief Deputy in ensuring the goals of the Sheriff are met as it relates to the patrol division. Capt. Watts also supervises school resource officers.
